Ellen van Olden
Ellen C. van Olden is President and a co-founder of SAM® Training, LLC. She has put her years of experience in the security and safety industry together with her considerable involvement in the education system to help design a training program tailored to the specific needs of schools working to create safer learning environments. Ellen has over 10 years of experience in safety training and was Vice President of MOAB® Training International, Inc., one of the leaders in the security training industry.
Ellen’s professional affiliations include the American Society for Industrial Security, The Connecticut Chapter of ASIS, The National Crime/Loss Prevention Council, The International Association of Hospital Safety and Security and The New England Regional ASIS organization. She has served as Assistant Vice President of CONASIS, on the Board as Assistant Vice President of ASIS New England Regional, and helped to organize the First Regional Seminar of ASIS and IAHSS.
Ellen served as a member of the Parent Education Advisory Committee for Broward County District 1, President of the PTA, member of the TDS School Safety Committee and has been a Girl Scout Leader for six years. She earned her BA from Western Connecticut State University in 1987.
